Is summer here yet? I’m ready for it. We just got a cottage up near Lake Erie and have been going up to do some cleanup and get it ready for the season. I’m determined to enjoy it right now, even with 3 space heaters going and sweatshirt and socks on most times, ha! But I’m really reminded of what summer has in store when I see the farmer’s markets start to popup in Ohio to share the bounty of the season. There are several throughout the city and surroundings, but the one I most attend is in the middle of the Cuyahoga Valley State Park at Howe Meadow, sponsored by the Cuyahoga Valley Countryside Conservancy
Hi, friends. It’s the first week of spring, and I don’t know about you but I’m ready for it! I can see my star magnolia bursting through the buds and the other trees in the neighborhood gradually turning green. The promise of spring is growth and awakening – how awesome that nature can remind us of all there is to love in the world.
As we ring in the new year, we can’t help but reflect on the past and think about our futures. It is like closing one chapter in a book and opening another. We think about what went right, what went wrong, what we completed, where we could do better, who we loved, who we lost, etc. And I probably think about these things more than most, as I am a self-proclaimed analyzer – constantly seeking to understand and improve myself and my connection to others.
Hello, friends. I’ve decided to submit some applications for vendor markets. I’m putting together this post to showcase some of the handmade goods that I currently sell mostly at Moonstruck CLE in Little Italy and a few things on Etsy. I’d love to have the opportunity to do a market to expand the p.s. bonjour brand to new people and believe selling at a market would be a great next step.
They say that August is the Sunday of summer and boy am I sure feeling that this year. And I might even say that August is Sunday morning and September is Sunday night, ha! Summer usually comes a little late in Ohio and this year was no different, including rainfall until the end of June really. What that means is that summer feels like it’s in full swing right now and not ending anytime soon. I pretty much love all things fall but given 75F days versus rain, I will take the sunny day. And what that means is that I usually have my fall decorations, my Christmas decorations up all later than everyone else.
